Our Partners

“Working with Dr Foster allows us to provide our readers what they want, access to the latest intelligence and data from the NHS in a useful and intelligible format that drives quality improvement and guides efficiency savings.” - Alastair McLellan, Editor, Health Service Journal

Dr Foster works with a wide range of partners in both the public and private sectors. Indeed, the company was founded as part of a project with Imperial College London, so working collaboratively with other organisations is something we are very much used to doing.
Our unique access to and expertise in NHS data, plus our experience of working with the NHS and with other health and social care organisations, means we have a lot to bring to any joint project. Currently, our partners are:

Imperial College London

The Dr Foster Unit at Imperial College London was established in 2000 and sits within the Department of Primary Care and Public Health in the School of Public Health at Imperial College. The Unit develops methods to explain variations in mortality rates in medium and large acute hospital trusts across England. Since 2002, the Unit has expanded its remit and now delivers a large variety of analyses related to variations in quality of healthcare.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing

The partnership between the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Dr Foster promotes professional marketing excellence focused on the specific needs of the NHS, including financial analysis and budgeting skills for NHS marketers.

“Technology has transformed the marketing environment within the NHS and few companies have harnessed that technology better than Dr Foster” - Sir Paul Judge, President, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, 2010

Health Service Journal (HSJ)

The Dr Foster and HSJ partnership’s interactive online tool, Performance Healthcheck, provides comparative data on specific indicators for every NHS organisation, with performance benchmarking analysis. Every month, a new data set is launched, alongside clear, concise comment on the variations in performance and how this fits within the wider NHS.

Optimum Contact

Dr Foster works in partnership with Optimum Contact to deliver the market-leading Meridian Intelligence patient experience data collection and reporting solution to NHS customers. Meridian Intelligence provides a real-time platform for the capture, analysis and reporting of patient feedback, safety and quality metrics and audit activity. The data capture is available through multiple channels including online, handheld devices, email, kiosks, SMS text, paper and telephone.
